Ralph Searles earned his Eagle Scout Award 50 years ago and attended the

BSA 50^th Anniversary National Scout Jamboree. Ralph's son Stephen earned

his Eagle Scout Award 50 years after Ralph earned his. Ralph and Stephen

will be going to the BSA 100^th Anniversary National Scout Jamboree this July.

Troop 473 enjoyed ice fishing on Lake Mille Lacs as well as skiing and snowboarding at Lutsen this winter.

The Pack 20 Pinewood Derby was held at St. Joseph's School in Waite Park on January 24th. There were a lot of great designs, but the emphasis seemed to be on speed this year with our top 9 cars finishing within 0.22 seconds - Thank goodness for digital timing!

Trophies were given for the fastest car in each den, and a ribbon will be awarded for the best design in each den. The top two in each den then participated in a final race. The winners of this race are pictured.

From the left, Alex D. (Tiger) was second, Joseph W. (Bear) was third (tuck your shirt in, Joe), and first place went to James P. (Webelos II). Too bad the Vikings couldn't have done so well that day!
