Hello Friends of Catholic Scouting 

Scouting Is Youth Ministry 

I am proud to introduce you to the new Chairperson for the St. Cloud Diocese Catholic Committee on Scouting Margie Bodde of Alexandria. Margie has accepted a two year appointment from Bishop Kinney to lead the committee to new heights in the service of Catholic Boy Scouts, Venturer and Explorer Posts. The committee is also charged with assisting the Girl Scouts and Campfire Kids in earning the Religious emblems from their groups. 

Margie comes to this position with years of zeal for Catholic Scouting and loads of administrative skills. She is a commissioner for the Northern Lights Council. You will find her joy infectious and fun.

Update 5/24/11 

On May 7, 2011, The Diocesan Committee on Scouting held a training Day called Scouter Development at the Sartell BSA Office. Trained and certified Emblem Instructors for the Catholic emblems in the Diocese of St. Cloud are now available to youth, parents, and Scoutmasters to assist their scouts in earning the Religious emblems. See the right hand menu for the list of Certified Religious Emblems Counselors for the Diocese of St. Cloud. 

Thank you to the Staff of the Scout Office for their gracious use of the facility and to Tim Welch of the St. Cloud Diocese for training in learning enhancement with technology.
