We will also offer a Vocations Retreat Day on February 27 in St. Cloud for any Scout  working on the Pius 12th

Emblem and anyone interested in exploring their vocation choices. More information to come...

James Witzman, formally Region 8 Chair, has joined the ranks. He will be our Communications Chair. First

job he undertook was in assisting as staff at Ripley Rendezvous, 4/23-4/25/10 as coordinator for Mass. Jim

has also brought to the table skills that will give us a website that will link with the NCCS website, hopefully

with the diocese and also with this website.

Our next meeting will include a review of the website prototype. Please let Jim know of other council sites that

should be included. Jim will also assist us in becoming electronic savvy. He has an 800 number available we

can utilize for conference calls if we need. Welcome, Jim, and thanks!

Mike Chisarik has volunteered to produce a fine certificate for youth completing any of their emblem studies.

Anyone teaching a course can send the names to Mike and he will prepare a fine certificate for you to present to

the young men at the time of their ceremony. Thanks, Mike, it is a great service you do.

Father Mastey said Mass at Camp Ripley for the youth attending the Ripley Rendezvous weekend 4/23-4/25/10.

John Keiser made announcements for the September retreat. Thanks, John!

Marge Bodde is working with The Visitor and the council offices to prepare a one page ad in The Visitor to

highlight Catholic Scouting and Eagle Scouts for the year 2010 to date, and to promote the fall retreat and the

Vocations day in February 2011. The Visitor staff have offered great ideas in seeking sponsorship of the cost of

the ad. Thank you, Rose Kruger Fuchs!

We are seeking a few more volunteers to teach small prepared segments on the Sacraments at the September

Retreat. If you feel called, contact Father Scheierl. We also need help with food Service, costing, music ministry,

and an activities coordinator. Father Scheierl will Chair this event. If you can assist in any way, contact Fr. Leroy.

Marge Bodde has prepared and will be sending out the registration form soon for the September Retreat.

We will make them available through this website and other BSA websites.

Kyes( AM1180) will make announcements for us in the” Where’s Father Mastey?" segments. Thanks to Program

Manager David Rydberg. We have offered, if we have open spots, in registrants to open the event to youth from

the St. Paul/Mpls Diocese.

Marge Bodde is taking care of the credentials for adults working with youth. She needs all volunteers to send her

their BSA Youth Protection training certificates and Diocesan documents to her by e-mail or USPS to maintain.

We need to be in compliance for the care of all youth. These need to be to her before you start a class. If you are

not current, please become so and forward her your documents.

We are seeking nominations for the Bronze Pelican Award. Please contact Marge Bodde or Marge Zylla for a

nomination form. We want to acknowledge people who have been serving Catholic youth in the Diocese.

The Area-Wide Ripley Rendezvous will be 6/3-6/5/2011. We will need to provide Mass for 2000+ youth and

adults. Anyone wanting to assist in this project contact Jim Witzman. The committee needs to interview music

groups and get costs of music ministry submitted to the council soon. It may be a budget item that the council

office will consider covering. Please forward music group suggestions to Jim for consideration.
