Wadena, MN - August 5, 2011

Several Crew 54 Venturers received an opportunity to experience health care first hand. The Crew 54 Venturers

joined Tri-County Health Care staff in a simulated activity to learn about the procedures involved in a medical

helicopter transfer. At the end of the experience, the Venturers received a helicopter tour of the Wadena area as

part of the training.

Venture Crew 54 is an organization formed with the help of Tri-County Health Care EMS, Wadena Lions Club

and the Boy Scouts of America. Under the supervision of Venture Crew Advisors, the Venturers receive training

in first aid, CPR and communications. Venturers who are at least 16 years of age can also sign up for an

ambulance ride-along with Tri-County Health Care EMS.
